Suggest to do something about the loading time of the forum.
Takes me 3-5 secs to load with Streamyx 1MB connection. Something not right leh. Maybe its the theme. Maybe its the advertisements :s19:.
In addition, there are also many areas in Msia without broadband connection. Stupid Streamyx :s10:. And sometimes Streamyx also got problem summore :s10::s10:.

Many thanks for the suggestion.
Regarding the board speed. Yeah, thing could be faster.. but.. this would required being hosted on a dedicated server, which means it would require a fee-subscription board... yup... paying a fee!
How?
Right now the board is still a free-board. Members need not pay a fee to be a member. Hence, members should realise this issue.

Maybe its the theme.
Try Using the Golden_age theme. This theme design seems to load up much faster.

Hi,
The Hot recommendation forum is interesting. Problem is how to get 30 postings by end of this month!

Now I have 2 postings instead of one by cutting the 1st one short! It is 'easy' to go for 30 meaningless/nonsensical postings but it is unlikely to be your intent ( I have high regards for Sahamas and the quality of its postings)
May I know the objective of having 30 postings to qualify for access to 'Hot Recommendation' forum? If the objective is to encourage inactive ones to post, I think the target is a little ambitious. Todate, less than 20 members qualify for it. It maybe a good idea if it is meant to reward the active ones!
Maybe, a lower target may encourage more postings from less active members.
Just my 1-sen opinion and I maybe wrong!:s16:

Hi,
Many thanks for your kind suggestions.
However, all I can say is that active memberships has its privileges.
Cheers

Unker Moo,
Today the left column where you have the "What's New" "Chat Box", Ads etc, has decided that it should be at least 1280pixels wide.. on all pages. Normally, I have this problem on some pages only.
Using Mozilla 1.3, which generally never has this prob elsewhere. No big deal, just pesky.
Update
Just tried using MSIE & the pages are OK. I think some incompatability in the java script that handles window-dims() and its dependent functions on later scripts.
I'll just come here on MSIE.

One more thing.. how come only 5 posts per page? :s2:
There's nothing I can change in Preferences. I'd prefer about 20 posts per page, then we don't need to wait for each page to load each time.
(PS... this is not trying to get to 30 posts quick hor) :s3:
