Homerun,
the 2 month earnings kinda disappointing if you average it out and the net profit declined sharply to about 4.6%...

FYI, Nanyang has a write-up on Hexza today (May15,07) , with a dialogue between Ng Jun Sheng (SBB senior analyst) and Dr Foong (Hexza's MD who currently has a 31% stake in Hexza).
Dr Foong said that he has no plan to take Hexza private in the short term. But if the share price continues to lag and does not reflect its intrinsic value, then he will not rule out the possibility of taking Hexza private.

My dearest Homerun,
This Privatisation talk is simply disgusting.
I am sorry but as an investor, i believe the owners/management has utterly no consideration for their minority shareholders with such talk.

I think privatization is the best solution given that the market not appropriately valuing share price.
Minority can chose not to accept if price is not right.:s6:

My dearest Stockraider1,
Yes, the minority always has the right NOT to accept the offer but the owners should never use this as an excuse to rip off their minority shareholder, who legally are their business partner.
Say you invest in a business at 1 million ringgit. You invest in it because you have your own reasoning that perhaps it's worth 2 million. That 1 million represents your reason to invest in the company.
If your business partner decides to buy you out (in the stock market via privatisation) at say 1.2 million, which represents a 20% profit for you, would you be happy, knowing very well that the true value is worth 2 million?
Yeah.. some would accept it... cos they do not know they are getting peanuts for their piece of gold!

I think this is a socialist thinking ! in a free economy there is a willing buyer and willing seller.
Although the business is worth Rm 2 million but no one is willing to offer u this sum beside your partner Rm 1.2m, then u must decide whether to accept or reject.
Your partner is also taking a risk by offering how could he know he will find someone who will offer Rm 2m.
Even if he can find the diff u r paying for his enterprising skill and risk taking ability to make the transaction work

My Dearest Stockraider1,
I believe it depends on which side of the fence you are sitting on.
Perhaps one day you will agree with me when the company that you have vested interests in makes a general offer for your investment at an incredible low price.
