Balance Sheet
Let's look at the balance sheet table posted in the first page of this posting.
Cash balances breakdown.
Short term investments 22,770
Short term deposits 49,201
Cash and bank balances 1,558 |
Cash balances is now 73.529 million. An increase of 8.212 million.
Debts is zero and there is no change
The dividend of 10 sen less tax goes ex on 19th Dec and payment is to be released on 19th Jan 2008.

I will now fast forward to the company's dabbling in the sharemarket.
I posted these on the first page..
(a) Total purchases and disposals of marketable securities for the current financial year-to-date are as follows: -

(b) Total investments in marketable securities as at 30 June 2007 are as follows:-

So how?
Here's the crucial part.
In review of investment, we always have to be honest with ourselves. Let's not look for excuses why the stock is NOT performing. Meaning to say, if it's good, we have to say it's good but if it's poor, we have to acknowledge that it's poor.

Some interesting development...
AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR EARTHWORK, PILING INCLUDING PILECAPS AND SUBSTRUCTURE WORKS
The Board of Pintaras Jaya Berhad ("PJB") is pleased to announce that the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Pintaras Geotechnics Sdn. Bhd. has been awarded a contract by Bandar Setia Alam Sdn. Bhd. via its Letter of Award received on 7th December 2007 to undertake earthwork, piling including pilecaps and substructure works for commercial and residential development at Pusat Bandar Puchong, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The date of commencement of the said works is on 17th December 2007 with the completion period of 15 months. The contract is valued at RM72 million.
The said contract is expected to contribute positively to PJB Group's future earnings.
None of the Directors or Substantial Shareholders or persons connected to the Directors or Substantial Shareholders has any interest, directly or indirectly in the said contract.
